In Spain we have a visible dependance of imported oil products which is mainly used to sustain transportation. Due to our geographical situation, I think that the most feasible way to produce energy in the future could be solar, wind, and ocean energy. we have a real possibility to implement these solutions in our energy system. As those systems are more and more efficient, they could free us from the oil and gas. Since we are not producing them, we spend an immense amount of money supplying energy in our countries instead of funding research for the optimisation of those systems. That way we could provide clean electricity to an increasing development of electrical transportations. This way we could change the balance, saving money, and creating value and markets for our products while providing sustainable self produced energy.
