Lille is a city with a young population because it hosts several universities. Naturally the most obvious flow is people: student coming, staying 3 to 5 years and then leaving the city. Second is the information, Lille is a member of the "3d industrial revolution" which means it emphasizes data and new technologies to improve wellbeing and liveability; lot of startup have their offices here. They get the data either from the municipality sensors or through crowdsourcing: data flow in, then is stock in data warehouse (stock), ready to be used by startups algorithms. Third is food. The surrounding rural area is composed with numerous agricultural exploitation, the food generated is send to the city to be transformed and stock in supermarkets. In the future, information stocks and flow, related to crops could be use to further improve crops plants with higher yields, and increase the flow of food to the city.
