Singapore has a iconic view of it's skyline in Marina Bay. The skyscrapers, unique structure and night lights are of a taste that only belongs to Singapore. Many information can been seen from the photo, the development of Singapore, the economy states, political states, environmental states, etc. Some of which invisible information are such as the connectivity of underground transportation, sheltered pathways to get around marina bay, historical buildings with iconic roofs that brings memory to many Singaporeans. Memory, history of a country is an important information that should never be diminish with technology. As we are stepping into the 21st century, many innovations due to the advance of technology will defiantly shape how we live, but we should never forget our roots. From a simple trading hub in the 1940s, Singapore have grown so much to be at where we are now. We do not want these memories and history to be buried as time goes past. Shaping a livable city of the next generation with history does not necessary means moving backwards in time, history brings about a countries culture into the context of urban space. Singaporean as known to be "kia su" which means to be scared of losing out, this culture might not be seen wonderful by others, but as a Singaporean, I'm proud to be "kia su" and i believe bringing culture into the future urban space will be the key to differentiate cities from cities and countries from countries.
