Uploaded on 2020-03-04 by James Stringer
1. This image was taken at near Namesti Miru tram and bus stop in Prague, Czech Republic. In this photo we can see a two-way tram stop with a tram approaching connected to an electric line overhead. We can see this is nearby a church, which is in a park. We can see the road and sidewalk are made from cobble stones. We can also see people of all ages and a car in the foreground. Some buildings stand behind which show us what the buildings look like in Prague. 2. The invisible information that could be extracted from this would be pattern information of public transport riders passing through this stop. Secondly by looking at the movement of people towards the park we could better understand the urban functionality of this park. 3. Statistical analysis could be undertaken to better understand travel behaviors at this station. This would give knowledge of how the station is functioning as an interchange and also how it is serving its surrounding locations. ie. Park, Church, surrounding business. This knowledge could be used to improve traffic congestion, service frequencies, park congestion and transfer pathways between connections.
