As the construction depicts the process of finding, processing, transporting and assembly of the material, I decided to show one of the more complex cases of the construction - the building indoor components. In the picture one can see Hansgrohe taps in a construction store "Senukai" in Vilnius, Lithuania. I liked this example for a few reasons - Hansgrohe has a well described process for making their equipment, plumbing equipment is rather complex (involves more parties than for example concrete production) as well as having many competitors on a global scale. Construction is a multifaceted process involving architects, designers, territorial planners. According to the Hansgrohe website - the process of making one tap is already a long journey which is only a small accent in the building construction. Hansgrohe main office is in Germany, the production sites are in Germany, France, USA, and China. Designers for example Antonio Citterio who create equipment designs lives and works in Milan, Italy. The transporting part of the tap components as well as finished products is equally fascinating. All in all, taps coming from Germany have input from numerous suppliers, designers, auditors. These taps form a small picture of the construction international puzzle.
