Hi, my name is Farbod and I am from Iran. According to Sankey Diagram the 2 most giant source of suppliers in my country are oil and gas. Iran the second big producer of natural gas all over the world. On the right side of this diagram we can easily see the major consumer of energy is transportation sector which is about 42.9Mtoes in the year 2013. As a person who is living in the capital of Iran I can easily say the lack of public transportation is so high which is lead us to use our cars greatly. If I wear the governors I would invest adequate amount of money in this section; this is a long term process but it will pay its costs by reducing the fossil fuels in the future. On the other hand however Iran has tones of oil beneath it, it constantly import oil product, for instance last year we imported 2.2 billion dollar oil product from outside! This is a lot of money. Unfortunately Iran doesn’t have suitable science or technology of constructing the infrastructure of making petroleum. So if we are independent of making our petroleum we will easily invest our money in public transportation system, so the emission of Co2 will be reduced. Using the renewable energy can be useful to. Fortunately it has been started to use many solar energy plants on the top of every apartments roof to produce adequate amount of hot water which is being used inside of the house. Location of Iran is great so we should think about using this mean of energy in our country. Iran is not a land lock country, we have 2 major sea in north and south, hydropower can be used too.
