In most of the neighbourhoods of the city, at Mexico City there's a lack of parks or public squares for local people to have their recreational activities, so very often these residual urban spaces such as those which hold the high- voltage electricity structures are use by people as parks where they can do their outdoor exercise, walk their pets, have a picnic or place playgrounds for children. This type of appropriation is "permitted" as there is no more land available to create suitable parks.
