1. Dominant fossil fuels in India are: -Coal -Oil 2. These fossil fuels are mainly used for: -Industry -“Other” -Transportation 3. Policies for implementation and usage of sustainable energy are needed in a country like India. As shown in the diagram, technologies such as retro reflective solar panelled windows and double paned facades would aid in reduction of UHI, production of solar power and improvement of ventilation, thus reducing the need for artificial cooling/heating.
