Globalized Economy in Building Construction... This is a photo of the Racine Heritage Museum on historic Main St. in downtown Racine, Wisconsin. This Renaissance Revival styled building was constructed in 1904. In this photo, I am showing the involvement of globalized economy in building construction. Each of the materials they used to construct this building was exported to other states and countries. Bedford Stone (from Bedford, Indiana), St. Louis Granite (from St. Louis, Missouri), pressed bricks and terra cotta clayware for decoration. I found this information from the city’s Historic Preservation office. As you can see after 116 years... the building is still in perfect condition.
