1. What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? The dominant fossil fuel used in my country Iran according to the provided Sankey Diagram is Oil and natural gas. 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? Other (mostly residential use), transport, and then industry. 3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? If we look at the diagrams it is obvious that the major energy source for residential use in Iran is natural gas. This energy source can be partially replaced with renewable sources like hydropower, solar and wind energy. As Iran is sunny most of the times, solar energy can be much more considering. And instead of using oil for cars and transportation, it’s recommended to replace with Hybrid cars that can use renewable energy.
