Transportation is vital for future cities. Bern station is reaching its spatial limits. Therefore it is being expanded. In order to maintain operations during the construction work (we are very dependent on transportation), the track was extended (virtually extending the station outside the station) and a tunnel was built above it so that passengers can reach the extra track.
