Regulating services - plenty of green space in the city for better air quality, serving as a filter of noise and pollution on the side of highways and big streets c. Habitat or Supporting services - small protected national parks in the city mostly serving as a home to rare species d. Cultural services - 'Tempelhofer Feld': an airfield transformed into a huge recreational space in the city center; urban gardens projects to educate about agriculture and environment Berlin is a green city with an invested civil society and public actors, which are aware of recent environmental issues. There is a willingness to return to a sustainable environment, and to reconnect with agriculture and nature. At the same time the habitants of the city are valuing green spaces such as the local parks, as well as the 'Tempelhofer Feld', as a recreational space in the city center.
