3. I live in Beirut in Lebanon and the city highly suffers from the lack of open spaces due to the scarcity of available lands and pressure of growing population. Using Citizen Design Science would be helpful in the project of "greening Beirut" which aims at introducing small scale green open spaces across the city. In order to set up the project it is important to involve the citizens in 3 levels: - at the Brainstorming stage in order to better understand the wishes, needs and fears of the residents and have a clear and holistic view of the project; - at the design stage which should be Co-designed between citizens and experts in order to work together towards a shared vision as citizens knows best their respective neighborhoods and could highlight potential spaces to inject green areas; - at the Implementation stage as citizens could supervise up-close the implementation of the project and quickly report or even act in case of problems.
