Existing Citizen Design Science Project in Jakarta, Indonesia Currently in Jakarta, Indonesia, there is a mobile social app that exists where citizens can report problems in their vicinity directly to the city government and partner businesses. The reports are dispatched in real time and shared also with the public in order to keep each other more informed. The idea is to promote transparency and efficiency in a way where urbanisation issues can easily be monitored and followed up by experts and the public. It is still in its start up stages, but has technology that optimises security and safety operations by up to 40% (e.g. through face recognition, vehicle classification, illegal parking identification etc.).
