The photo is taking during a big manifestation against the government corruption. The martyrs square is a Lebanese landmark and of the few large public spaces in the capital. The invisible information is 1: the traffic flow. In fact the square is surrounded by 4 major roads . This information makes this square a Central element. 2: it is the finality of the major linear road " bechara el khoury" that divided west beirut from east beirut during the civil war. This information gives the importance to the square by making it a place for communication, unity and forgiveness between the capital citizens.
