"The impact of infrastructures such as transportation, water, health, and energy on urban form and architecture is a fact. With the beginning of the 21st century, buildings and cities are becoming physical and software systems in addition to collections of material and shapes. Water, energy, transportation and health infrastructure are thus crucial dimensions for the design of the future sustainable urban systems and the human habitat." yes this is true. here in chennai, india, with most parts of most of the roads being closed due to metro rail work. there is heavy traffic congestion due to the same. but on a recent trip to delhi i realised how much the completed project would help the economy, save people's time and energy. and yet i wonder if certain limitations must be imposed on the production of cars for personal use! cause here im attaching an image i had taken at 2:30 am, with heavy traffic congestion in delhi, a very uncommon sight in chennai at the same time.
