Chennai is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, India. I feel the three most important stocks and flows are: 1.People - working here on a metro rail project. While most of the project is happening in collaboration with Japan - there is a flow. And since it's happening for a longer period it's a stock. Also the people who are working on this project are sourced from all over the country. 2.Food - just like many places around the world, Chennai imports a variety of food and by-products. For example West Bengal, another state is the largest producer of jute, is exporting the material to all over India as people have moved towards jute bags over the ban on plastic. 3.Oil- with the booming of the automobile industry a splurge demand of crude oil has made import of oil the highest in Chennai. But is this a good flow is a question to ponder on!?
