Examples for each category of ecosystem services are provided below - 1. Provisioning services a. Food - Jakarta is a coastal city and seafood is cheap and plenty 2. Regulating services a. Local climate - Jakarta has plenty of trees in some areas, which provide shade and improve local climate 3. Habitat or supporting services a. Habitats for species - mangrove swamp in north Jakarta (shown in picture) has high biodiversity - there are different species of birds, lizards, snakes, etc. 4. Cultural services a. Green spaces and parks - National Monument park, Ancol beach area, Ragunan Zoo are favorite weekend destinations for recreation b. Tourism - Kota Tua with old colonial buildings and museums show the history and culture of Indonesia
