1.The dominant fossil fuel in Ukraine are natural gas, coal and oil. 2.The bulk of all fossil fuels in Ukraine is used in the industry (mainly energy-intensive and electrical energy). 3.Ukraine is the most energy-intensive country in Europe. The low efficiency of the use of fuel and energy resources in the technological processes of outdated industrial enterprises, the growth of energy resources consumption, creates a significant dependence on exporting countries and deepens the problem of energy and environmental security. Therefore, a large-scale reconstruction and modernization of existing enterprises and the use of innovative models are necessary. In order to implement such a program in Ukraine, it is important to introduce market mechanisms, so that monopolists have to compete. Formation of local heat supply systems based on economical consideration of the potential of local energy sources, logistics of supply and regional energy infrastructure be effective.
