FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

The following picture is of the Delhi-Noida highway. Clearly from the picture one can see all the visible forms of architecture such as roads, the location of the bus stop, the foot-over bridge, the street lights and the pedestrian walkway leading to the bus stop. The things which however are not visible and forms the invisible architecture are the amount of diversity in the traffic moving on one road.Buses, cars, motorcycles and autos all are moving on one busy highway this requires the road network to have enough spaces for all because every transport plays a different role for instance buses will stop at bus stop but cars would simply pass by,similarly motorcycles will try to fit in in between spaces and auto would move at a very slow speed. This means roads need to be designed to fulfill all this for better urban movement. The movement of pedestrians and the way they utilize the foot-over bridge is another important aspect.Due to the height of the foot-over bridge people many times use it as a selfie point which in turn crowds the bridge. This tells us the user mindset gives an idea about how to design a better foot-over bridge.
