Invisible Information 1. Car parking patterns and driver usage 2. Internet connections and data usage volume - Knowledge of Internet connection (fixed and wireless) and usage statistics (bandwidth and content types) can provide planners with a better understanding of the formal (and informal) economy, particularly its location and dynamics. Changes in fixed connection use may signal movement to particular knowledge or business hubs that planners can support with better services such as safety, utilities and transport in order to stimulate innovation. Use of mobile signal agglomeration can provide planners with insight into vehicle and pedestrian flows over a day, allowing better planning of public transport, roads and footpaths and timely provision of information services to garner the most impact.
