The goal with this safety app is to record data about unsafe places according to age and sex of the citizens. The user can either report that they are feeling unsafe or that they want to alert the police, when they are in a serious situation. The app automatically records the geo-location of the user. When the person is signed in the police will also automatically receive their name and phone number as well as optional other data like e.g. an emergency contact person. After the user pressed either of the buttons there is a follow up short questionnaire for those persons, who were not signed into the app. Therefore allowing for age and sex data points to be recorded with the geo-location and time stamp as the minimum data, that is always required. The app will help to aggregate data about unsafe places in the city. It can trigger conversations about spots that need to be changed in order to provide a safe city for everyone. In particular important is the aggregation of the data according to the sex and places that unsafe for women.
