Flood map platform. A platform where citizens can record flood water level for at specific location during and after an event. Nowadays, many cities face flood issues for specific zones, and we need more data to build better flood risk assessments. The main idea is to encourage citizens to generate data in a map, recording the flood water level and uploading pictures from the zone affected in order to create historical events which can be used to improve water flood models. Furthermore, this platform can show data in real time, helping citizens to avoid zones with high water levels. I think with the participation of citizens we can generate big volumes of data and use mathematical models to have a better flood control in the future cities.
