Citizen Design Project - raising the social qualities of Vestamager district, Copenhagen Problem: Vestamager is part of the newly developed Ørestad area, which still has several building sites. The public life is just starting to be more dynamic, but it still doesn't have enough quality to be qualified as a livable place as the rest of Copenhagen. Project: The municipality can create an online platform to gather from the citizens 1. Information about the main problems of the area - where do people think it's needed to add more cafes, restaurants, shops or other functions. How do the green spaces work, also in connection with the adjacent park. How does the entire area work in terms of number of schools, kindergardens, supermarkets, proximity to transportation, etc. 2. All citizens living in the area will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to use the platform. Also, workshops can be organised, where people can talk and share their opinions with each other. Afterwards, a series of general problems can be drawn from all the inputs. At the end, a set or general ideas on how to solve the problems can be gathered and proposed for implementation.
