The city of Francisco de Orellana, is located in the north-east of Ecuador, between the rivers Napo, Coca and Payamino, at an altitude of 255 meters above sea level and with a rainy tropical climate of 28°C on average. In 2010 it had a population of 40,730 inhabitants.
