A policy could be focusing more on this sustainable source by building more on-shore and out-shore wind turbines. b. Given the fact that oil is mostly used for transportation in Denmark, another policy could be to stimulate the electric car market by lowering the taxes, which at the moment are very high. The infrastructure is already developed, but users are not motivated to buy electric cars because they are still very expensive, especially with the high taxation on cars in Denmark. c. Another way to control the consumption could be introducing real-time consumption meters, which will show people in real-time what their energy use is and will also allow them to compare their own use to the others.
