Infrastructure has become of major importance in Dubai. Especially highways, where there is plenty. People in Dubai mostly use their own private cars to get to and from work usually and anywhere basically. This is because their income in Dubai is good enough for them to own their own car comfortably. Plus the tradition of the people here are not used to public transportation, where it is available and also in demand from considerably low income workers. Therefore Dubai has been creating alternating roads to get to places in no time where there is less traffic. As you can see in the photo, what looks like a bridge is actually a long highway road that goes directly to the coastline town. And below is also the same road which leads to it but it has intersections if people have other places to go to. The disadvantage of this is that this is the downtown area, where most of the skyscrapers are in Dubai. So this blocks the view for the tourists that are walking around this area. It has changed the urban architecture of the downtown area, and it discourages tourists to walk around this area.
