Within the construction industry, Brazil doesn’t import a substantial amount of finished goods. Nonetheless, this building is a reflection of a globalized economy because the technology and the machinery required to produce the construction materials that were used to build it, such as glass, concrete and steel, were imported from more developed nations such as the United States and China. In other words, Brazil is rich in primary goods available for manufacturing, however, the nation still needs to acquire the technology to process and finalize all of these goods. It is worth noting that in some cases Brazil sells commodities to another country to process it and then buy the finalized good back from them.
