These are pictures of the famous XV of November street, in Curitiba, Brazil. Localized in the downtown district, this is a vital area for the city’s local commerce. It is worth noting that this street was designed only for pedestrians. As visible information we can notice: the use of the buildings and the time of the day as the street has a significant number of people circulating. To create an invisible information, a special device could be created to count, more precisely, the number of people that pass through this street every day. For example, one idea to measure that would to develop a sensible carpet that counts the number of people by the steps people take on it. As commerce is abundant in this street, this indicates that Big data could come from credit card transactions , of course some sort of authorization by the credit card owners would be necessary, but this would allow us to create some profiles of the people that visit this street. After mapping these people’s profiles we could understand better the public that are going to the XV of November street, and plan something to focus on them.
