Antwerp as a Belgian city has lots of transport methods but clearly the most important one is the BICYCLE. As an old city it didn’t have the infrastructure for it so the government is doing a big investment and work to create goof bike lanes to drive safely and comfortably (see picture). This is not yet everywhere but I hope that in the future this kind of bike lanes will be everywhere in the city to make the use of the bicycle more easy and to get lots of cars out of the city so that the traffic congestions in Antwerp could reduce significantly. One of the problems linked to this is the lack of bike parking’s. The city is also trying to deal with this by creating common bicycle parking’s by neighbourhood and by avoiding the use of own bikes by putting bike sharing around the city. Even though this attempts didn’t solve the problem yet.
