The above image showcases a street in the vicinity of South Mumbai. It is a residential area with a number of commercial activities happening on ground. It is one of the highly dense localities of Mumbai. The density of a locality is a bottom-top approach and not the other way round. I propose an application where the people living in their localities can share their presence in that area along with the functions they are related to, and also their experiences, which would include suggestions, complaints, enquiries etc. This will give rise to a real time density data according to the functions, unlike census data which a long cycle repeated after a period of ten years. This will also give rise to suggestions and objections of people living in that area about that area which can be viewed by the government bodies so that the necessary actions are carried out as soon as possible. This will help people make their choices about living, working or visiting those areas. The people can also decide the capability of the government bodies to work when required, checking their accountability of work which can be assessed by all the citizens of the city.
