On a recent visit to Buenos Aires I came across this Zaha Hadid construction site. Interesting that the standardised construction means architects can operate anywhere! The apartment building coming out of the ground was a steel and concrete framed building - as one would anticipate. They were also using the standrad methods to come out of the ground. It did however use local brick for the internal and external infill walls. On travelling around the city the 'home build" housing blocks in the poorer areas were constructed out of bricks and other found materials.
