My app will be called SANGATH, which means ‘community’ in the local Punjabi language. Sangath will work like a direct link between the Govt bodies and the people. All the project briefs which are being built or proposed in the public domain, will be present on this app. People can vote, comment & give suggestions, regarding the project. Secondly, my app will ask its users to rate all the present public/semi-public spaces and ask for any suggestions or improvements. A user will also be able to register an official complaint with this app. The app will have a camera and a noise measuring tool, so that people can paint a more statistical picture of a place. If given the permission, the app will be able to track the user’s location and daily commute activities. Through this, planners will get a better idea about how to improve the transportation systems. Public transport reforms are immediately needed , as traffic congestion is increasing by the day.This app would be groundbreaking for a city like Amritsar, as the people here, as of yet , have no direct involvement in the building of their infrastructure.
