Uploaded on 2019-07-26 by Santiago Martinez Murillo
This is a normal residential street in west Medellín, Colombia, in a neighborhood called Laureles. A formerly traditional houses' neighborhood, it hosts now a lot of built variety, with original houses but also tall buildings, restaurants, shops and parks. Visible information: A residential-size street in visible there, with a lot of cars parked on one side (which could mean a lot of daily activity). Vegetation is abundant on one side, between the street and the sidewalk. Electric nets are quite visible, being held on top of the streets. Sidewalks have different materials which means that they have been modified by each household. No people are seen walking by. Invisible information: 1. Eventhough vegetation is profuse, there is a spot on the left side that has no trees nor plants nor anything. This might be a personal decision taken by the house owner. 2. It is probably a working zone with offices because of the amount of cars and absence of people. Knowledge: From 1., plants could be proposed as planning devices in a city like Medellin, in order to avoid empty gaps where more trees can fit and make profit for the whole city.
