The top five livable cities in my opinion are: Geneva, Viena, Zurich, Stockholm and São Paulo. The characteristics for a city to be livable are: low level of air and light pollution, low level of noise, good service provision system, maintained infrastructure and good accessibility to places, so no overcrowding. I live in Moscow city and I can not say that it is one of the most livable cities for me as there are definite problems with overcrowding, light and noise pollution. However, Moscow does has a relatively good road network despite the traffic jams due to the overpopulations. Moreover, service provision in Moscow is of a high standard and the temperature although cold has become better over the years due to the urban heat island effect, wich might be considered a positive of a sort in this case. Overall, I would rank Moscow in the top 50 for the most livable cities as it is improving and will hopefully move towards a more sustainable pathway in the future.
