I have identified 3 most important stocks and flows as: - energy - people - goods (including food) Because when we observe paths going from/to the city - those are elements that are transported on them. In the future - how to decrease flow - energy could be produce more in cities, such as solar on roofs, but maybe more importantly, energy needed to run city could be lower by construction of passive houses, etc. - flow of people from/to city could be decrease by offering people opportunity to live where they work (for reasonable price and quality) - goods and food could come from locations closer to city - thanks to improved logistics - or local city factories (that will not pollute) and urban farms could supply demand.
