This picture was taken in Ljubljana, from my office, on June 28th 2019 around 1PM. 1. This picture depicts a big pedestrian square in front of the Parliament building. The pictures allows seeing how the space is split (and used) between buildings, roads, lanes reserved for bicycles, sidewalk, and the large pedestrian square. It also allows getting hindsight as to how the roads are designed within Ljubljana, where the main buildings are located. The configuration of the park (including which kinds of trees and plants are used, how paths are designed...) near the Parliament is also visible. 2. based on the picture, one could indirectly extract * the centrality of the square at the time the picture was taken * where the pedestrians are heading, and for which activities 3. The centrality of the square at different times of the day could help understand what it is used for (business? demonstrations? public events?). This way, the square design could be improved, but also the related public transport Knowing the various activities conducted by citizens allows to understand the use of different buildings, e.g. to adapt their design accordingly
