The conventional construction techniques, the pre-cast structures, extensive and easy use of cement and steel has made it possible to go higher and higher. This is an easy to achieve a compact development where the land is sparse but at the same time has put tremendous pressure on the steel and cement manufacture and import if can't be produced in the city itself. This on the other hand is creating pollution, threatening the resources and altering the vernacular techniques on a threatening speed. The new trend of high rise apartments and conventional materials for construction has shown a huge global impact on the development trend of this small industrial city in the state of Jharkhand which is blessed to have stones and bamboo as alternative building materials but is unexplored.
