The Udaipur city, also known as the 'city of lakes' is a small tourist city in the state of Rajasthan. Besides lakes, Udaipur is also known for its historic forts and palaces, museums, galleries, natural locations and gardens, architectural temples, as well as traditional fairs, festivals and structures. This city is a great example of nature, built and society coexisting together maintaining a sync between the ancient and the modern, natural and the built quite effortlessly. The unaltered monuments and heritage structures, new development following the urban fabric and maintaining the skyline of the city, the natural landscape which is tried to be kept intact is a big step towards a sustainable approach to urbanization. The City palace (where the photo is taken from) is the city center and a major tourist attraction and a storehouse of ancient and new information. The tourist flow data, revenue generated etc give the economic overview of the city. Hence the city can be called a fine example of information ARCHITECTURE.
