Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh,India. The ecosystem services it provides are, 1. Provisioning Services - Bamboo produced here is widely used as a construction material. The lakes in Bhopal provide water to the residents of the city for portable and non-portable use. 2. Regulating Services- The micro climate of city is always pleasant because of its water bodies and healthy green cover. Madhya Pradesh has largest green covered land in India. 3. Habitat and supporting services- Bhopal has a reserve forest area named Van Vihar, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna. 4. Cultural Services- Bhopal has rich history and recreational values to it. The Upper Lake Area, Bharat Bhawan, Gauhar Mahal an so on, it has about 100 such places to visit and spend time with friends and family. Although the city does not attract heavy tourist population, the people who visit the place do not return disappointed.
