A phenomenon described in the picture is the residential areas along the tram between the two cities. It seems that people from the old city would work in the new city, the tram is the most convenient way for public transportation, so people flow along with it. The patches where people live along the tram seems to be some stocks for people who live around the area, after the centralization of residents, they also use the facility of the tram to go to the new city. The increasing residents would feedback to the stock of people by setting new factories as workplaces to make people stay in the same place for a long time, then strengthen the stock of people. The high way system shows an opposite way of centralization with the tram by gathering goods at first. For the highways from the port are mainly for logistic. So the patches along them are industrial areas which are stocks of materials and goods. To cut down the transportation costs, setting industries based on the goods which stocked on the port would be efficient. Then appendix industries set again, more materials and goods are needed.
