Brazil`s population in 2018 was 204,8 million. The climate varies considerably from tropical in the north to temperate zones in the south, and the land use in Brazil is divided in: agricultural land: 32.9%, arable land 8.6%, permanent crops 0.8%, permanent pasture 23.5%,forest: 61.9% and other: 5.2%. In 2017 the primary energy consumption in Brazil was 294 MToe (Hydro:84, renewables:41, gas:38, coal: 17, oil: 2 and nuclear:4). By sector: Industry: 114; Transport: 93; Buildings: 75 and Non-combusted: 12 MToe. My country is going through a time of changes in the environmental approach, and not a good one. The new government has shown a disregard for the environment, starting with the weakening of the ministry of the environment to proposals such as the end of legal reserves and the reduction in the environment legislation. Also the Government decided not to host the COP-25, the world's largest climate meeting PS: the image shows the Amazon's deforestation https://www.redebrasilatual.com.br/ambiente/2019/01/amazonia-esta-se-transformando-em-cerrado-apontam-estudos/
