building of GSD at Harvard. First of all even style of building is "international" and does not really reflect local environment. Building is made out of reinforced concrete. Sources of steel and concrete will be probably in the USA but more likely from other state then Massachusetts. In big countries as USA even in-country sources may be problematic because they can come from other side of the country. In case of Boston local material would be probably brick (as they are used in historical building). But steel and concrete frames dominates nowadays US market, and steel is often even imported from Asia as it is cheaper.
