1. What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? The dominant fóssil fuels used in Brazil is oil and bio/waste. 2. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? The dominant fossil fuels are mainly used in my country in industry and transport. 3. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. The largest consumers of energy in Brazil are the transportation system and the industries. In order to create policies that improve the country's energy sustainability, I would deploy electric cars in public transportation systems and encourage the use of the public system, in order to reduce the use of private automobiles that are powered by gasoline. For the industries I would implement tax incentives for those that control the emission of CO2 in their production and make use of clean energy sources like biomass (using organic matter such as garbage and waste), wind energy or solar energy.
