The picture was taken in Osaka, Namba. It shows the square in front of a shopping street. 1. Visible are the many people, advertisements, lights and high buildings. The use of the buildings is not always clear. In most cases, the buildings are used for retail purposes on the ground floor and offices on the upper floors. 2. The walking paths of the people are invisible. Where do they come from, where do they go? The origin of the people is also unknown. What is the pecentage of tourists? Also unknown is the energy requirement for the many advertisements and lighting. What is the electricity consumption? For safety reasons there are also no visible information. How many pickpockets take place in the crowd? 3. The analysis of the walking routes of the visitors could be used to develop and install better guidance systems. In addition, the public spaces could be designed accordingly. Wider sidewalks, seating or improved clarity. Information on safety could lead to an adaptation of lighting or the installation of safety stations.
