The flow and stock of people in the city of Adelaide has been subjected to changes in the last few months. We can differentiate two kind of people, the short term visitors such as tourists and the long term ones such as expatriates. Tourism has been increasing steadily for the last few years and a change in visa regulation made South Australia a more attractive place to stay, thus increasing the stock of permanent and temporary residents. This increase in the flow of people also led to an increased demande for accommodation, which can be seen all around the city with the many new constructions coming up, thus leading to an increase in the stock of housing, either short stay accommodation or houses and apartment buildings. A third important flow and stock that can be identify is the one of water. South Australia is a very dried State and water can be a precious ressource during summers. The city has at its disposal several major reservoirs to stock water that will mainly be used by households and industrial facilities. The flow of water is not constant throughout the year depending on the level of the main rivers and the climate.
