1. In Brazil, among the main fossil fuels used, we can highlight oil and biofuels. 2. Oil is mainly used for transportation and biofuels for the industry. 3. My proposal would be to encourage the use of biofuels, since the country stands out for the use of renewable energy sources. Among these sources, we can highlight the hydroelectric power, responsible for the majority of the energy produced in Brazil. Thus, since it is a tropical country, where it receives a great amount of rainfall throughout the year, with the predominant relief of the plateau, guaranteeing the rivers large amount of water and falls, it is evident its great potential for generating such energy. Despite being a renewable source, hydroelectric plants cause significant environmental impacts, so it would take measures to make this energy production less harmful to the environment, for example, to relocate animals to areas that do not will be affected by the enterprise, better management of solid waste, the recomposition of the areas that have been degraded, and ensure the containment of eventual leaks of chemical products to the environment.
