An example that directly comes to my mind is in my University degree. We are constantly told by big enterprises to participate in their competition projects in a voluntary form (I mean without any kind of monetary issues) and purpose our ideas as product designers to them. We have been developing ideas for Ikea, Dekton, Cosentino, Roca Sanitario, etc. The idea is that in groups we generate some ideas and we develop them, then we organize them and make a cool poster and finally we send our ideas to the enterprises. Then, they choose the idea that best fits with what they are looking for and they develop it or maybe they take it as a starting for they real project.
