This is the countryside of Barcelona (2h away by car). As i am not a US citizen I can't identify where my city is ranked in de UHI. In order to decrease the heat temperatura in Barcelona (it is pretty hot in summers) I would forbbiden any kind of exterior air conditioning in buildings and non electrical vehicles circulation inside the city. It is also pretty common in Barcelona, due to its huge maritim commerce, to have the port full of commerce ships, also polluting air and, in consequence, accelerating the air heat of the ambient.
