1)The dominant fossil fuel in Brazil is oil, and the second one is gas. 2) 63% of Oil goes to the transport system, and 31% of the gas is going to the industry system. 3) In Brazil we already have a law trying to diminish the oil influence in the transport system by adding a percentage of biofuels (currently 10%) into the fuel. Another policy that can improve the results involves the use of electric cars, We need some incentives to buy electric cars and by doing this we will reduce the use of oil. In recent years, the use of gas is increasing in Brazil due to periods of drought. Our country is so dependant of Hydroelectric power plants that thermoelectric power plants are being used as compensation for them. The policy to improve this outcome is to increase the use of new renewables such as, solar and eolic and reduces both, the dependance of hydroeletrics and thermoelectric power plants.
